Shipping Information

We offer free shipping on all orders over $250 within Canada and the United States.  For orders outside of these countries we will create a custom shipping quote after your order is authorized.

All of our duvets and pillows are custom made to order.  We are usually able to ship within two weeks based on demand and will let you know via email if your order will take longer.  

We ship with Canada Post and USPS or UPS Ground.  We require a signature on all deliveries.

Canadian Orders

Canadian residents are required to pay all applicable sales tax.  We ship Canada Post unless otherwise noted.

U.S. Orders

Please be aware that customers in the U.S. will bear the responsibility for any taxes and duties that customs may charge.  We are required by law to declare the full value of the package contents and will not alter this value.  While we are not able to give you an exact amount, we are aware that duties on duvets and pillows hover around 4.5%

But with a very favourable exchange rate and not having to pay sales tax on cross border shipping you are still going to come out ahead on your purchase by shopping Canadian!

Refusal Of Shipment

In the event your refuse a shipment from The Great Canadian Down Company, you will be held responsible for the original shipping costs as well as any duties and taxes AND custom charges that we may incur.  We will deduct this amount from your product refund.  We ship to the US via Canada Post/USPS or UPS depending on varying rates and require a signature on arrival.

Just a reminder: We are not able to be held responsible for US or Canadian Customs actions in regards to damage, duties, fees, tariffs, etc when you receive your package.  In addition we will not be held responsible for any associated costs of returning your shipment to us.
